The S word

If you are a workaholic then this word is the worst in your dictionary. Its the kind of word that you would ridicule hearing. The S word - Sabbatical. It really isn't that bad a thing actually. I had, in my older blog mentioned that I was going to take the 'leap of faith' and this was it. I took it and many expected I would fall nose down,break my beak and probably rot away. It needn't be like that. No! 

My sabbatical has been the best thing that has happened to me. Actually, a sabbatical is when you 'take a break from something, but eventually get back to doing it after a few months or so'. I am not on a sabbatical. I am unemployed and enjoying it! No kidding! 

I guess, it is a good thing to do once a while - to move away from your regular pattern. It helps. It has helped me immensely in many ways. For one, I am now able to blog! Also, I am able to see little things that I missed out in the mad rush to be a workaholic. Now I peacefully bake, wear clothes will coordinated earrings and other accessories. wear NAILPOLISH and laugh a lot more. 

This break is good. 5 years of working and all I did was work. Of course, I got married in between but apart from that I didnt achieve much. Now, there is time for family, a lot more time for friends and for myself and a light feeling that keeps me floating happily! 

Also, I had promised myself that I shall blog (A LOT) and have actually sent myself smses on things to blog about. So you know what to expect from my blog!
